Slat Conveyor ATLS System

The Ancra Slat Conveyor System is a fully automated loading and unloading solution for shuttle operations where trailers can be modified—part of our Modified Cargo Space (MCS) approach.

This system combines:

  • A Stationary Slat Conveyor, permanently installed at the loading dock, and
  • A Slat Conveyor Trailer System, featuring integrated slat tracks within the trailer floor.

Together, they enable seamless, one-shot transfers of a wide range of goods—including both palletized and non-palletized cargo—between a facility’s buffer zone and specially equipped trailers.

Unlike traditional chain-based systems, the slat conveyor system offers exceptional flexibility for operations dealing with mixed load types or unconventional cargo formats. It is engineered for fast-paced environments that demand high throughput, safe handling, and consistent performance—such as distribution centers, industrial production sites, and automated logistics hubs.

The system completes the full loading or unloading cycle in just 3 to 5 minutes, fully automated and without the use of forklifts or manual labor.

System Configuration and Operation

  • The Stationary Slat Conveyor is fixed at dock level and serves as the core interface for inbound and outbound trailer operations.
  • The Trailer System includes an integrated slat conveyor, engineered to align perfectly with the dockside unit.
  • Once the trailer is docked, both systems synchronize automatically, transferring goods in a smooth, continuous movement.
  • Goods can be placed onto the stationary conveyor manually (e.g. via forklift) or automatically (via upstream conveyors or AGVs).
